The Cliff Walk – named by National Geographic Traveler as one of fifty “places of a lifetime” - winds through the mansions along the rocky coast, making for a spectacular day trip. Visit one of the famous ‘Cottages’ – the Breaker, The Elms, Kingscote, Rosecliff, and Marble House of Chateau-Sur-Mer - owned by the Preservation Society of Newport County. Take a tour to Doris Duke’s Rough Point Estate - created by the designer of Central Park - where a spectacular display of roses and dahlias can be seen in the summer months.
